Warren Teachout
Warren began knitting around the age of 5 when his mom, Carol, taught him how to knit dish cloths. He did that off and on as a young boy and then stopped knitting until his mid-twenties. He started in again with his very first sweater, a cable-knit. That lasted for a short time and he stopped knitting again until his niece Claire was conceived. He picked up his needles to knit her a receiving blanket and has been totally addicted ever since. He has been accused of starting way too many projects and never finishing them. He vehemently denies never finishing, but does acknowledge that it took him about 18 years to finish that cable-knit sweater! His current projects include a third pair of socks made with TOFUtsies yarn, and the Celtic Tote bag for his mother made with O~Wool™ Classic. The Celtic Tote pattern is in the Winter 2007 edition of Interweave Knits.
Carol Cook
Carol began knitting at the age of 22. She learned to knit dish cloths and passed her knowledge on to her children. After having knit a warm baby blanket for her granddaughter and several scarves for Christmas presents, she is currently working on a scarf for herself.
