Mom's recovery and shipping commitments
Carol's recovery from her foot surgery continues to go very well. With the help of excellent physical therapists and her own motivation to do their prescribed exercises, she is progressively gaining range of motion in her ankle and is beginning to walk. However, she is still unable to get herself to the UPS Store at this time.
Because of that, our commitment to you continues to be that we will get your orders shipped within a week, at the latest, after receiving them. We have been very fortunate to have friends and family volunteering their time to take your packages to the shipper; often, we are able to get your order shipped within just a day or two.

Mom's foot surgery and shipping update #3
*NOTICE OF POSSIBLE SHIPPING DELAYS:*
If you have been a fairly frequent visitor to our site, you know that Mom (Carol) has had foot surgery and spent two months recuperating. She fulfills your orders and takes them to UPS or the Post Office. Your orders are her number one priority and no matter what else she has going on, her commitment has been to get your orders to the shipper by the next day. She did that until her first foot surgery; while she was recuperating, we depended on friends and family who live nearby to get your orders out. It may not have been the next day, but it was still within a few days of placing your orders.
Unfortunately, we learned last week that she is in need of another major foot surgery to repair torn ligaments and ruptured tendons (she has a stress fracture, too). The surgery will occur on Thursday January 31st and it has an even longer recovery time. So, we will continue to rely on friends and family to get your orders shipped. This means that they may not ship the very next day, but we promise we will get your orders shipped within a week, at the latest, after receiving them. We are also looking into other alternatives. Since I (Warren) live in Kansas City, I'm not able to take care of your orders myself and until we grow some more, we have no other staff.
We know how great it is to get new yarn as soon as possible and we know that you love that, too! We appreciate your patience and understanding!

Shipping update 2
Carol had a checkup with her doctor on Wednesday. According to her doctor, the surgery and recovery are “stellar”! We are very grateful for that.
As her recovery continues, it will be another month yet before she will be able to drive. We are fortunate to have the help of family and friends that are taking your orders to the shippers. While we would love to be able to ship your orders off within one day of your purchase, we just can’t promise that right now. What we can promise is that your order will be shipped within one week. Again, this will be the case for just a little while longer. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Here’s wishing you a very safe and Happy New Year!

Resume shipping of orders within one business day of being received
Now that Warren is in Roanoke, after a day’s delay in his hometown of Kansas City due to the ice storm, we have resumed shipping your orders within one business day. We will be able to continue to ship your orders within one business day through Friday, December 21. Orders received by midnight, December 21, will ship on Saturday, December 22.
Mom’s (Carol) recovery continues to go well, although she still can not put any weight on her foot. After 12/22, we will have to go back to fulfilling your orders once per week. We are hoping that by mid-January, she will be fully back on her feet and shipping orders daily!
Wishing you and yours a holiday season filled with peace, joy, and love! Warren, Carol, and Val

Update on Carol's surgery, order fulfillment promise
Mom’s (Carol) major surgery on her foot went well and she is now well on her way to recovery. As part of the recovery process, she can’t put any weight on that foot. Since she is the order fulfillment person for us, that means we will only be able to fill and send your orders once a week. Thanks to my sister, Val, for making the trip to Roanoke! Every Saturday, she will get your order sent from the UPS Store. Please note that during this time, we are only shipping via UPS Ground in the United States. Shipments to Canada will continue via USPS International Priority Mail. Thank you for your understanding and patience! This situation will continue to be the case until December 12 when I will be in Roanoke and able to take over deliveries while I am there. We hope you are having a wonderful holiday season! Warren, Carol, and Val

Mom (Carol) had foot surgery!
Mom (Carol) needed to have some major surgery on her foot today. As a result, we will not be able to get deliveries to UPS or the post office on a daily basis. We have enlisted the volunteer services of another family member so that we will be able to continue accepting orders; please just understand that we will only be able to ship them once or twice a week. This will be the case until December 12 when I will be in Roanoke and able to take over deliveries while I am there.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Happy Holidays!
Warren and Carol
